Record Rules
Since so many things changed in Beta4, it might be a good idea to read through at least the Players Manual which was heavily updated and/or the Beta4 changelog posted here in the extended news. To learn how to use the KCAC for recording World Record demos, click the link above (or in the nav bar) called Record Rules
To make your own online Listen Server that others can join, open a map then the console and type these 2 commands:
sv_lan 0
heartbeat
Do not allow more than 4 players until you know your computer can handle more than 4 players.

Known Issue:
There is a current issue relating to listen servers and sv_lan. In order to get medals and award savings working over level changes, each player must have a unique steam id. However, because of a bug relating to sv_lan, every player has STEAM_ID_PENDING if you created your server using the Create Server window. The fix for this is:
1. Create a server using the Create Server window as usual
2. Once you are ingame, shut the server down using the "killserver" command.
3. Start the server again by typing "map (your map of choice)".
Dedicated servers are not affected by this bug.

 | @faker I actually love how the installer is done, An advanced mode with browsing would be nice but honestly how many people have multiple Steam installations? Multiple steam accounts should not change a thing though since it extracts to /steamapps/SourceMods |

| | apparently you need a source game, steam installation and the sourcesdk base (download on steam under tools).....and you can play the game. Valve changed things. We do however run on the EP1 engine |
